24th - Yan Lo vs Leveticus

This time I faced Dominik, a very good friend and Malifaux player. Readers of his blog already know he is building a DC-Villain Leveticus Crew and we play very regularly against each other.

First of all, this battle report will be short and it will feature probably the worst game I have played for … I don’t even remember a game like this. “Bad things happen in Malifaux” describes this game very well. It was not because I played worse than my normal games, it was simply by flipping really, really, really bad and not having relevant cards in my Hand. But enough of my whining and enjoy reading the downfall of the Dark Side caused by Joker and his fellows.

Deployment:     Standard
Strategy:            Interference
Schemes:           Claim Jump
                             Leave your Mark
                             Frame for Murder
                             Covert Breakthrough
                             Search the Ruins

Crews:

Ten Thunders (Frame for Murder (Tengu), Claim Jump):
  1. Yan Lo (Fortify the Spirit, Misdirection, Brutal Khakhara) 4 SS
  2. Soul Porter
  3. Yin the Penangalan (Smoke Grenades)
  4. Lone Swordsman (Recalled Training)
  5. Wandering River Monk
  6. Katanaka Sniper
  7. Tengu
  8. Goryo (Proxy: Onryo on green 50 mm Base)

Outcast (Frame for Murder (Desolation Engine), Search the Ruins):
  1. Leveticus (Desolate Soul, Oathkeeper) 5 SS
  2. Rusty Alice (Scout the Field, Oathkeeper)
  3. Desolation Engine (Oathkeeper)
  4. Ashes and Dust
  5. Hodgepodge Effigy
  6. Hollow Waif
  7. Hollow Waif

Deployment:

Dominik won the Deployment flip and let me deploy first, maybe because of my sniper. :P

Turn 1:

I won the Initiative and let Dominik go first. Rusty Alice used the Walk Action of Scout the Field.

  • 1st Activation (OC): Hodgepodge Effigy gave his condition to Leveticus and walked to the position where Rusty Alice was.
  • 1st Activation (TT): The Soul Porter pushed Yin and Yan Lo.
  • 2nd Activation (OC): Waif walked a bit.
  • 2nd Activation (TT): Tengu double walked in cover.
  • 3rd Activation (OC): Ashes and Dust walked two times and dropped a Scheme Marker.
  • 3rd Activation (TT): Goryo summoned a Seishin and walked once.
  • 4th Activation (OC): Leveticus walked, placed a Scheme Marker and sacrificed Ashes and Dust to draw two cards.
  • 4th Activation (TT): Seishin walked once.
  • 5th Activation (OC): Waif walked up to the Ashen Core.
  • 5th Activation (TT): The Wandering River Monk walked, leaped and walked again.
  • 6th Activation (OC): The Ashen Core let the Monk make two Df-Duels which he passed and I placed a Scheme Marker because of the Df-Trigger.
  • 6th Activation (TT): Yan Lo discarded a card, killed the Seishin, ascended the Spirit Ascendant and walked twice.
  • 7th Activation (OC): The Dust Storm walked and combined himself with the Ashen Core again.
  • 7th Activation (TT): My Katanaka Sniper took a Focus-Action and shot Rusty Alice for 2 damage.
  • 8th Activation (OC): The Desolation Engine walked up the board.
  • 8th Activation (TT): Yin walked twice.
  • 9th Activation (OC): Rusty Alice focused and reactivated the Desolation Engine.
  • 9th Activation (TT): The Lone Swordsman pushed and walked two times.
  • 10th Activation (OC): Desolation Engine dropped his Oathkeeper and charged Yan Lo, dealing 4 damage. After that he took his (0)-Action which dealt 2 damage to the Tengu and the Lone Swordsman. Killed the Tengu with one attack, summoned an Abomination and I scored 2 VP and with his last AP he damaged Yan Lo again for 1 damage after Soulstone use. His Pulse also damaged Yan Lo for another 2 damage.
  • 11th Activation (OC): Abomination walked up to the Lone Swordsman who failed the Df-Duel and suffered 2 damage.

Victory Points after this round were 2-0.

Turn 2:

Dominik won the Initiative and decided to activate first.
  • 1st Activation (OC): The Desolation Engine walked once, used his (0)-Action which damaged Yan Lo, the Goryo and Yin and attacked the Lone Swordsman and reduced him to Hard to kill. The Df-Duel didn’t do any damage, because I cheated my only cards which get me to the TN.
  • 1st Activation (TT): Yan Lo walked once, tried to heal the Swordsman but failed and attacked the Desolation Engine for 0 damage.
  • 2nd Activation (OC): Ashes and Dust walked one time and charged the Monk for 3 damage due to the Black Joker on the second damage flip.
  • 2nd Activation (TT): The Lone Swordsman dropped Recalled Training, attacked the Abomination and killed her with his first attack using the placement-trigger. Now he called the Desolation Engine his target and attacked her for 2 damage.
  • 3rd Activation (OC): The Effigy gave his (0) to Leveticus and walked into the centre of the table.
  • 3rd Activation (TT): The Lone Swordsman attacked the Desolation Engine and killed her with his first attack, Dominik summoned his two Abominations and scored 2 VP for his sucker. The Swordsman killed one Abomination and pushed himself.
  • 4th Activation (OC): Leveticus dropped the Oathkeeper, focused with his ability, sacrificed Ashes and Dust again and placed himself, he focused again and charged Yin and killed her for an Abomination and killed the Lone Swordsman for another Abomination.
  • 4th Activation (TT): My Sniper shot Rusty Alice for another 2 damage.
  • 5th Activation (OC): The Dust Storm charged my Monk and killed it.
  • 5th Activation (TT): My Goryo charged Leveticus and reduced him to 0 Wounds.

From now on I can sum it up, Dominik moved up his Abominations and I simply lost any Df-Duel. Yan Lo survived because of 2 Soulstones, the Soul Porter remained with 1 wound left.

Dominik scored for the Strategy. The Score after Turn 2 was 2-3

Turn 3:

The last Turn of the game started, I had the Initiative and tried to kill the Ashen Core but it survived with 1 wound left. Yan Lo was killed for another Abomination, the Soul Porter died to his attack against an Abomination, Dominik cheated for the trigger for 1 damage. Dominik drew cards with his Abominations and formed a new Desolation Engine and walked with it in the direction of the Sniper. Reactivated her with Rusty Alice and it killed the Sniper for a new Abomination. My Goryo was killed by Leveticus, who sacrificed the Ashen Core.

And so the game was over in Turn 3. Dominik scored for Search the Ruins and the Strategy. The game ended 9-2.

To sum the game up, it’s very hard to do anything if you simply fail every Df-Duel, I had to do about 15 of this duels and only got a card to get to the TN for 2 to 3 times, my hand in turn 2 was also quite bad after a Soulstone with 11, 9, 3, 3, 2, 1. But it was also funny to face such a situation and we had lots of fun and I am quite confident that a game like that will not repeat in near future.

My Saturday game this week was against Mark. He is a very nice player and plays Malifaux for quite a while and he always gets better and better and this time he gave me some real struggle to deal with his Ten Thunders Mei Feng crew which he played for his second time and it was an interesting and exciting game. It wasn’t clear until the very end how this game would end, so it's definitely worth reading 😊

Turn 1:

Mark won the Initiative and let me go first.
  • 1st Activation (Ben): I started with my Soul Porter and pushed Yin and the Emissary.

I got the Initiative and decided to activate first.
  • 1st Activation (B): Izamu activated and attacked Mei Feng hitting her and flipping the Red Joker for damage for 6 damage after Soulstoning. His second attack missed her by cheating the Red Joker and leaping aside prevented a third attack, so Izamu walked a bit on the Scrap of the killed Komainu.
  • 1st Activation (M): The Emissary discarded a card for Focus +2, pushed himself and attacked Yin and killed her and used his (1) push on Toshiro.

  • 6th Activation (B): My Goryo walked, used his (0) against Mei Feng and hit her despite the – Flip of Vent Steam (Mark had no cards left to cheat) for 1 damage and the Adversary-Condition (how lucky, the correct trigger). He charged her for 1 AP and killed her dealing 4 damage.
  • 6th Activation (M): The Terracotta changed Toshiro’s Upgrade to Recalled Training and walked.
  • 7th Activation (B): Soul Porter walked and pushed the Emissary.
  • 7th Activation (M): Toshiro dropped Recalled Training and charged Izamu. Izamu survived with one life left.
  • 8th Activation (M): Komainu walked, placed himself and attacked the Goryo for 1 damage.

  • 1st Activation (M): Toshiro activated, accused my Emissary and tried to hit the Goryo but missed due to a flipped Red Joker.

  • 1st Activation (M): Emissary attacked my Emissary with Focus +2 but missed him, removed his Destined-Condition and his second attack dealt 2 damage.
  • 2nd Activation (B): My Emissary attacked the Porkchop and killed it for 1 VP for Mark and dropped a Scheme Marker.

Mark had to kill Yin to prevent me from Scoring, so he tried to kill her but could not deal enough damage. The Final Score was 9-7 in my favour, because I scored for Search the Ruins and Extraction. Mark got his last point from Accusation.

Was a very good game of Mark, I had a lot of problems and got very lucky with my flips. We both learned a lot and I am looking forward to face him again.

21st - Yan Lo vs Perdita

This time I faced Sebastian and his Guild Crew. He is a player of another gaming club located in Katzelsdorf and they joined the great Malifaux community a few months ago because of their dissatisfaction with the new edition of Warma/Hordes. It was a nice and interesting game and I really enjoyed playing against his Perdita Crew.

Deployment:      Standard

Schemes:           Claim Jump
                              Dig their Graves

                              Last Stand

Crews:

Ten Thunders (Claim Jump, A Quick Murder(Peacekeeper)):
  1. Yan Lo (Fortify the Spirit, Misdirection, Brutal Khakkhara) 5 SS

  • 5th Activation (TT): My Katanaka Sniper killed the Enslaphed Nephilim with a focused shot.

  • 7th Activation (TT): Emissary pushed the Lone Swordsman and gave him the Fast condition. After that walked once and casted on the Peacekeeper for 1 damage.
  • 8th and 9th Activation (TT): The Lone Swordsman discarded two cards to gain Reactivate and called the Peacekeeper his target. He walked once, dropped Recalled Training and charged it for 6 damage and killed it with his second Activation.

The Score after the first Turn was 3-0, because of Quick Murder on the Peacekeeper. Sebastian also revealed Last Stand as one of his Schemes this turn.

Turn 2:

I got again the Initiative and decided to activate first.
  • 1st Activation (TT): I activated the Lone Swordsman who pushed himself out of Abuela’s Aura and charged her for 4 damage.
  • 1st Activation (GU): Perdita activated and killed the Emissary with 3 Attacks and so Sebastian also scored 3 VPs for A Quick Murder.
  •   2nd Activation (TT): Soul Porter walked and pushed Yin.
  • 2nd Activation (GU): Papa Loco buffed Perdita and walked in safety from my sniper.
  •  3rd Activation (TT): Yin tried her (0) on Perdita but failed and failed her two attacks against her.

  •  6th Activation (TT): Goryo walked once and placed a Scheme Marker in 2” to the Centre Line.

The Score after this round was 5-5. I scored Claim Jump and Extraction. Sebastian scored Quick Murder, Extraction and Last Stand.

Turn 3:

Sebastian won the Initiative flip and activated his first model.

  • 1st Activation (GU): Francisco activated, walked inside the engagement range of Yan Lo and used his place to get to the Lone Swordsman and pushed Abuela away. He also activated Finesse.
  • 1st Activation (TT): Yin used her (0) on Perdita and attacked her once for 2 damage and her “No walk condition” and killed Abuela with her second Attack.
  • 2nd Activation (GU): Papa Loco walked once and used his pulse, I cheated to prevent damage on Yan Lo, but Yin got 6 damage.
  • 2nd Activation (TT): The Soul Porter pushed Yin and took a Walk-Action.
  • 3rd Activation (GU): Perdita attacked Yan Lo but only managed to hit once for 2 damage.
  • 3rd Activation (TT): Yan Lo discarded a Card for Chi, used his Lightning Dance against Perdita to get away from Papa Loco and placed Perdita next to Yin. He attacked Perdita twice for 2 damage.
  • 4th Activation (TT): Sniper tried to kill Papa Loco but only dealt 2 damage.
  • 5th Activation (TT): The Lone Swordsman disengaged from Francisco but only on the second attempt.
  • 6th Activation (TT): Goryo used his (0) against Perdita and charged her for 4 damage.

We both scored from Extraction, so the Score after Turn 3 was 6-6, but I got more models so I placed the Marker. I am sorry but I forgot to take a picture after this turn.

Turn 4 & Turn 5:

I got the Initiative and started this turn.
  • 1st Activation (TT): The Lone Swordsman discarded two cards and named Francisco his target and dealt enough damage to get him to hard to kill
  • 1st Activation (GU): Francisco placed himself next to Yin and pushed Perdita out of engagement and hit the Goryo for 2 damage, he also used companion on Papa Loco.
  • 2nd Activation (GU): Papa Loco walked up to my models and used his pulse which all models survived, but Papa Loco killed himself and so my Goryo, Yin and the Soul Porter died.
  • 2nd Activation (TT): Yan Lo killed Perdita with two attacks and also killed Francisco.
  • 3rd Activation (TT): Sniper walks up to the Extraction Marker.

The Lone Swordsman sacrificed itself and I scored from Extraction this turn, therefore the score after turn 4 was 7-6.

The only models on the table were Yan Lo and my sniper so I scored again for Extraction and Claim Jump. The Final Score was 9-6.

We both enjoyed the game and I was again impressed how hard hitting Papa Loco and Perdita are. I got very lucky with my flips this game and feel a little bit sorry for the flips and the outcome of this game, but I think 9-6 is a very good result.

18th - Yan Lo vs Kirai

My second battlereport is a rematch with Markus and Kirai. The Scheme Pool was an interesting one and the Strategy made it even more interesting. • 9th Activation (RE): The Hanged missed Yan Lo with his Whispers from Beyond, because I used a Soulstone for a tome.
  • 9th Activation (TT): Komainu walked twice.
  • 10th Activation (RE): Datsue Ba used her (0) on Izamu to take a Walk Action, walked herself and attacked the Goryo for 5 damage, killing him for 3 VPs for me, because he was my Sucker, but also summoned a Gaki.
  • 11th Activation (RE): Izamu put down a Scheme Marker, walked once and used his Melee-Expert to hit the Komainu for 2 damage.
  • 12th Activation (RE): Gaki tried to attack Yan Lo but missed.

Strategy Points after this round: 3-2 for Markus so he got the VP. Markus also scored Claim Jump so it was 3-2 for me after this round.

Turn 3:

I won Initiative this time and activated my first model.

  • 1st Activation (TT): The Soul Porter activated and charged the Gaki for 3 damage and 2 Chi for Yan Lo.
  • 1st Activation (RE): The Gaki activated and hit Yan Lo for 2 damage.
  • 2nd Activation (TT): Yin casted her (0) against the Hanged but missed him, attacked the Hanged for 1 damage and Markus summoned Ikiryo, which Yin missed with her last attack.
  • 2nd Activation (RE): Ikiryo killed Yin with a flipped Red Joker and sacrificed herself.
  • 3rd Activation (TT): Komainu placed himself next to Izamu, accused Izamu and tried to attack the Night Terror but Black Joker on damage prevented the damage.
  • 3rd Activation (RE): Philip and the Nanny put up a Scheme Marker and discarded it again for card cycling.
  • 4th Activation (TT): Tengu walked and I wanted to accuse the Gaki, but it already activated which we realised later, so he didn’t do anything with his second AP.
  • 4th Activation (RE): The first Night Terror walked and put up his aura.
  • 5th Activation (TT): Yan Lo walked, used Rebuild Corpus to resummon Izamu, heal 3 damage on him and gave him Armor +2.
  • 5th Activation (RE): Yin walked, used her (0) again against Yan Lo, and used her Ca-Attack against Izamu, hitting for 1 damage and the Condition to not walk or charge.
  • 6th Activation (TT): Chiaki walked and removed the Condition of Izamu.
  • 6th Activation (RE): Hanged walked and hit Yan Lo for 4 damage, the no-heal-condition and 1 VP for Eliminate the Leadership.
  • 7th Activation (TT): Izamu charged the Night Terror and killed it.
  • 7th Activation (RE): Lost Love tried to heal but failed both.
  • 8th Activation (RE): Kirai placed herself next to Kirai, tried to hit Yan Lo but the Black Joker prevented it. The second AP hit the Komainu for 2 damage and the Gaki-summoning Condition (Soulstone spent to neutralize the cover) and her last AP was used to swirl the Night Terror and Izamu.
  • 9th Activation (RE): Datsue Ba killed the Komainu with trigger to summon a Gaki, so there were two new Gakis.
  • 10th Activation (RE): Izamu dropped a Scheme Marker and removed accused-condition.

The remaining Activations consisted of walks. Strategy this round was 3-2 for Markus. So the score was 3-5 in Markus’ favour through scoring Claim Jump and the Strategy.

Turn 4:

I won Initiative again and decided to go first.

  • 1st Activation (TT): Izamu couldn’t charge because I placed him engaged with Yin the previous turn, so he had to walk and killed the Hanged and Markus summoned Ikiryo. Izamu tried to hit her, but failed.
  • 1st Activation (RE): Ikiryo killed Izamu with two attacks, but the Armor hit back and killed her too.
  • 2nd Activation (TT): The Soul Porter killed the Gaki and pushed Yan Lo.
  • 2nd Activation (RE): The remaining Night Terror walked, engaged Chiaki and activated his aura.
  • 3rd Activation (TT): Chiaki tried to walk out of the engagement twice but failed both (don’t know why not just kill the Night Terror) and attack him with her (0) for 1 damage
  • 3rd Activation (RE): Lost Love walked and healed the Night Terror to full life.
  • 4th Activation (TT): Tengu walked
  • 4th Activation (RE): Kirai used her Swirl on Lost Love and Izamu, placed herself using her last soulstone and attacked Yan Lo for 0 damage but the adversary condition.
  • 5th Activation (TT): Yan Lo gave Chiaki Armor +4 and walked in safety.

Datsue Ba killed Chiaki with a focused attack by cheating the Black Joker and Izamu killed the Tengu.
Markus scored again the Strategy and Claim Jump. Therefore, the score after turn 4 was 3-7 for Markus.

Turn 5:

I won again Initiative and Yan Lo ascended his last upgrade and moved to the farthest point he could reach. Markus managed to get Izamu to Yan Lo but he remained with 2 life left and we called the game done at this point and the score didn’t change since the previous turn.

Markus won this game 3-7.

It was a very hard game for me, a big mistake was to pick Accusation against Markus which is always a bad choice, because he tends to outactivate me and Kirai’s Mobility allows to easily get rid of the condition. It was my first try of the Reliquary and I really think it is worth the point if Yan Lo has one Upgrade-Slot left. The Strategy was like I expected it a tough one for Yan Lo because of the number of Enforcers I am running.

I hope you enjoyed my report and my next battlereport should hit my page on Sunday.

Deployment:

I won the deployment flip and decided to deploy second.

Turn 1:

I lost the Initiative flip and had to go first.

  • 1st Activation (TT): The Soul Porter pushed Yan Lo and Izamu.
  • 1st Activation (RE): The Effigy dropped a Scheme Marker and walked once and gave the condition to Kirai.
  • 2nd Activation (TT): The Goryo summoned a Seishin and walked towards the Extraction Marker.
  • 2nd Activation (RE): The Nurse dropped a Scheme Marker and took a Walk Action.
  • 3rd Activation (TT): The Seishin activated and walked a bit.
  • 3rd Activation (RE): Philip and the Nanny used her Lost Knowledge to discard the dropped Scheme Markers to draw 4 Cards and discard 2.
  • 4th Activation (TT):  Chiaki double walked.
  • 4th Activation (RE): The Night Terror walked towards the centre of the table and activated his aura to limit my casting ranges.
  • 5th Activation (TT): Yin activated to walk twice.
  • 5th Activation (RE): Kirai summoned a Seishin with her (0) Action and summoned a second Night Terror in base contact with the first one. After that she summoned a Goryo (Proxy: Student of Viscera) next to the new Night Terror which killed him and let her summon another Seishin. After that she sacrified the new Seishin and summoned a Shikome on the last Seishin.
  • 6th Activation (TT): Yan Lo activated and discarded one card for one Chi. After that he killed the Seishin to gain another Chi, he used Ascendance to get Incorporeal and walked once and tried to shoot the Shikome but missed her.
  • 6th Activation (RE): Lost Love tried to heal twice but failed both attempts.
  • 7th Activation (TT): The Lone Swordsman used his push and took a Walk Action and dropped a Scheme Marker.
  • 7th Activation (RE): Jaakuna walked and tried to lure Izamu but failed.
  • 8th Activation (TT): Izamu walked towards the centre and dropped a Scheme Marker.
  • 8th Activation (RE): Chiaki walked once and dispelled the Slow Condition of the Goryo.
  • 9th, 10th and 11th Activation (RE): Izamu, Goryo and Shikome walked.

Turn 2:

Markus won the Initiative and let me go first.

  • 1st Activation (TT): I decided to start again with the Soul Porter, so he walked once and pushed Yin 4”.
  • 1st Activation (RE): Effigy dropped again a Scheme Marker, gave the condition to Kirai and walked once.
  • 2nd Activation (TT): Chiaki walked and uses her (0) Cast against the Shikome and hit her for 3 damage.
  • 2nd Activation (RE): The Night Terror walked up to Chiaki and activates his aura again.
  • 3rd Activation (TT): Goryo walked twice and engaged the Night Terror.
  • 3rd Activation (RE): Nurse placed a Scheme Marker and walked towards the Extraction zone.
  • 4th Activation (TT): Yin took a Walk Action and tried to apply her condition to the Shikome which failed, after that I decided to attack the Nurse and hit her for 2 damage, she used her Df-Trigger to push into the Extraction-Zone and Markus also dropped a card to summon Ikiryo next to Chiaki and Yin.
  • 4th Activation (RE): Ikiryo hit Chiaki once for 2 damage and sacked herself again, because the Lone Swordsman could have killed her next to a scheme Marker.
  • 5th Activation (TT): Izamu walked up to Yan Lo.
  • 5th Activation (RE): Philip discarded again the two Scheme Marker to draw cards.
  • 6th Activation (TT): Yan Lo focuses and tried to hit the Shikome, but failed and dropped a Scheme Marker with his last AP.
  • 6th Activation (RE): The Shikome placed herself next to Chiaki and hit her for 4 damage and poison which would kill her at the end of this round.
  • 7th Activation (TT): The Lone Swordsman used his push and a walk to place himself next to the Shikome, but didn’t engage her. So he dropped a Scheme Marker for the next round.
  • 7th Activation (RE): Kirai activated and walked, after that she summoned a Seishin and a Hanged on the Seishin. Her last AP was Swirling Spirits to reposition Izamu and Jaakuna.
  • 8th Activation (RE): Chiaki dropped a Scheme Marker and removed the Slow-Condition of the Hanged.
  • 9th Activation (RE): Jaakuna lured the Goryo into her aura dealing 1 damage and hit him once for another damage and slow.
  • 10th Activation (RE): Goryo dropped a Scheme Marker.
  • 11th Activation (RE): Lost Love healed 3 damage on the Hanged.
  • 12th Activation (RE): Izamu killed the Goryo which resulted in 1 VP for Markus.
  • 13th Activation (RE): The Hanged dealt 4 damage to Yin and tried to hit Yan Lo too, but Yan Lo dodged the Attack.

Chiaki died by Poison. We both scored from Extraction and Markus scored Dig their Graves. VP: 1-2
Attentive Readers may mention, why I didn’t use the Equality Upgrade from Izamu. Yeah, that’s true I simply forgot over the whole game. :D

Turn 3:

I won Initiative this time and activated my first model.

  • 1st Activation (TT): The Lone Swordsman used his push to engage the almost dead Shikome and killed her with his first attack. 1 VP for me for Dig their Graves. His last AP was to place a Scheme Marker again.
  • 1st Activation (RE): The Night Terror tried to disengage, Yin hit for 1 damage because of Hard to Kill, I forgot that I can’t trigger poison on the disengaging strike, so I decided to never hit him again, because I expected him to be the sucker (which was correct 😃)
  • 2nd Activation (TT): Yin walked to cast her (0) against Kirai, Markus used a soulstone and Izamu suffered the effect of the cast. After that she attacked the Nurse once with her Ca-Attack, but missed her.
  • 2nd Activation (RE): Effigy dropped a Scheme Marker, gave the Condition to Kirai and walked a bit.
  • 3rd Activation (TT): Yan Lo shot on the Hanged two times one time benefitting from focus, dealing enough damage to reduce him to 1 wound. Markus dropped a card and summoned Ikiryo.
  • 3rd Activation (RE): Ikiryo hit Izamu two times dealing 6 damage.
  • 4th Activation (TT): Izamu tried to heal, but managed only 1 wound. And hit Ikiryo with the Melee-Expert for 4 damage.
  • 4th Activation (RE): Kirai summoned a seishin next to her, summoned a Shikome next to Ikiryo killing her. After that she shot Yin with a focused Ca, but Yin dodged the attack.
  • 5th Activation (TT): Soul Porter charged the Shikome but missed with both attacks.
  • 5th Activation (RE): Nurse focused and tried to medicate Yin but missed her.
  • 6th Activation (RE): Shikome killed Izamu. Izamu hit back and dealt 3 damage.
  • 7th Activation (RE): Goryo charged and killed Yin with a moderate damage, rewarding me 2 VPs for Frame for Murder, but Markus scored Dig their Graves.
  • 8th Activation (RE): Jaakuna lured to Swordsman two times dealing 1 damage with her hazardous aura.
  • 9th Activation (RE): Izamu hit the Swordsman for another 4 damage.

The remaining Activations consisted of walks and missing attacks 😊 So the score was 5-4 after scoring Extraction.

Turn 4:

I won Initiative again (luckily :P) and decided to go first.

  • 1st Activation (TT): The Lone Swordsman activated and suffered 1 damage from the aura of Jaakuna. After that he killed the Hanged and scored 1 VP for Dig their Graves. After that he hit Chiaki for 2 damage.
  • 1st Activation (RE): Philip and the Nanny discarded a Scheme Marker and killed the Lone Swordsman for Markus last VP from Dig their Graves.
  • 2nd Activation (TT): Yan Lo used his Lightning Dance against the Night Terror and placed him next to the Soul Porter, after that he walked once, getting 4 damage from the hazardous aura of Jaakuna and trying to hit Chiaki, but missed.
  • 2nd Activation (RE): Nurse medicated Izamu for more damage.
  • 3rd Activation (TT): Soul Porter did not do anything of importance.
  • 3rd Activation (RE): Goryo walked once and killed the Shikome with one wound left.

The remaining Activations killed Yan Lo despite using 4 Soulstones and we called the game done at this point. So Markus scored 2 Points for Extraction for the remaining 2 rounds.

The final Score was 6:7 for Markus.

What a close game, despite that he out-activated me for the whole game. I was very lucky that I knew Markus that well, that I expected the Night Terror to be the sucker. It showed that letting Markus to choose the side was possibly a wrong decision, because hiding everything behind the house was a very good way to make things very hard for me.
